Wonderful Sunday ride - farkling thru low Hill Country
« on: March 27, 2016, 11:33:16 PM »
Thought I'd take the Norge out for a short ride today...well, it turned into a long ride and a perfect one at that:

Fueling up in Fulshear:

Weighing my options in Havlinka, maybe I shouldn't have that French Toast after all!

Playing with the new addition - Wilber's rear shock:

Cosmetic addition - Xylan coated Valve covers - courtesy of Mike at MPH:

Something about a Silo grabs my attention:

Look up there - way up to the top of the Silo:

Beautiful hills and ranches - plenty of wildlife out and about today:

The wildflowers are in full bloom:

Found a Tri-Fork-ta - 3 directions to choose from - random pick coming up:

Stopped by the Country Club on the way home:

Sunset coming shortly - best time of day for taking pictures:

Nice! It looks like it was a great day for riding, and what beautiful country!

We had hail today... But the sun should shine later this week.

Get yourself some IRC Racers Tape. www.findtape.com.  12' by 2" will do fine.  Place some at the bottom of your tank where those straps go.  It'll protect the finish from abrasion, leave no mark no matter how long you leave it on, and be, for all intents and purposes, invisible.

I've used it for years on all kinds of stuff and it's the bomb!  It's worth every penny of it's not so low price.

Nice. What a great day. Clearly you love that machine as well. I was a house guest of a family in Kerrville back in the 80's. They gave me a Naturlized Texan sticker. I was completely blown away by how beautiful it was in that part of the country. Seems it's quite a ways from where these shots are at, but I know they called it Hill Country.

Thanks for sharing.

Paul,

Excellent ride!  Wonderful pictures!

Today being a beautiful Monday, and also I am retired, the Trumpet will get taken to the NW somewhere.  Have some chores to do first though.  Want to go see some of those bluebonnets....

cheers,
Greg
