ZADI Key blank
« on: October 05, 2017, 12:24:52 PM »
Got to SoCal, and the key to the MZ is missing. Anyone know where I can get a blank? It's a TUV 0637.. The MZ forum is no help.

Take a photo of the key and send it to Contact these guys: Keys4Classic.com. They may not only have the blank, but will probably be able to cut it for you. Check this out: http://keys4classics.com/html/Ducati_90s.html .

If I had a key to take a photo of I wouldn't need a key blank.

How about searching for a blank on the bay and use that pic.

Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. Check out the blanks on the link provided though. 0637 might be the actual code.

More and more, I think it's time for me to seriously curtail if not completely eliminate my participation here...

I just re-keyed my '69 Wards Benelli.  Do a search for replacing moped locks and you'll come up w techniques for removing the cylinder and starting fresh.  It's easy (sadly).

I actually found my answer on the Yahoo group for Riverside Wards bikes, but that won't apply to you.

I thought it was funny as did Chuck...

I just looked at my Skorpion key, and there isn't a number of any kind on it.

All it has is "Made in Italy" and "Zadi."

Years ago I had a locksmith make a key for a Skorpion gas cap, which is the same as the ignition key, but I have no idea where that is right now.

It suddenly occurred to me that the key blank info was in my Skorpion notes.

It is the same as a Cadillac Allante (Curtis B-59).

Speaking of ignition keys, I have Nor/Tri/BSA key blanks (Union FS series.)

I can make a key for the lock cylinder if I have the cylinder in my hands.  It can still be in the switch.

Does the switch look like this?

If it does, MG Cycle has the blank.

Just curious.

The switch looks to be very similar. The key blank looks similar, too. .but I wouldn't bet they are the same. The guy at keys for classics says he has three blanks that "could " fit.
At any rate,  all is well that ends well. Thanks!
