if you're going to make a TT track, make a TT track

That Super TT was fun to watch. Reminded me of a giant supermoto race.
The best part of riding a motorcycle is to tilt the horizon and to lift the front coming out of a corner and to drift the back end powering thru loose dirt and to catch a little air topping a hill and... yeah it's all good!

Just a whole lotta crashes. Beach waited till the end to get it. Colby was a run over squished red tomato. Good racing.

It's been a while since a Road Racer won a TT?   That was super fast and exciting track.  The feature was fantastic.

I am very sorry for all the kids that got carted off.  I hope they are OK, especially Kolby but the other kids too.

Just to let everyone know I am doing good. Nasty get off last night could have been way worse. Thanks for all the prayers. Got some time off now to let the body heal and we will be back at it.

Didn't he win the Daytona TT last year, too?

races I've attended...

Daytona - the new layout is probably better than they've ever had within the speedway.  At least the bit down the pavement cannot become full of holes.  However, it remains a pretty sketchy thing with sharp turns at either end that don't really show the ability of the riders.  As long as it must be put in that space, this is the best that can be hoped for.  I'm not sure the results of Daytona mean too much for the season as it was too easy for a good rider to run into bad luck.

Fort Worth - the track was far better than last year.  Last year's track really didn't look as if anybody had done a thing to it.   Hard and dusty and rutted.  This year, Johnny Lewis had a hand in prepping things and I think it showed.  He had some people alarmed with his plans for water through the program, but it worked out well.  Larry Pegram look good on his loaner Indian, so planned to carry on to the next race.  The Kawasaki of Smith look poor.  It was a real disappointment to everybody and the team made the decision not to even show for the Arizona Race.  They were stunned by how poorly the new bike did.  Is it time to pull out the old (winning) bike?

Phoenix - The mile track was never going to work.  No lights, which means daytime running, which means way too hot and any water on the track just evaporates as fast as it can be sprayed.  A horrible track.  The new SuperTT track looked perhaps better than it turned out to be.  But, it was smooth enough, and quite well prepared.  I think many were expecting more speed.  No matter; the final races for both the singles and twins was excellent--once the riders had the place figured out.  There were some safety concerns about concrete, so perhaps there will be adjustments next year.  The stands were full and the people were engaged.  I talked to a few food vendors and they were very pleased (and running out of food).  Pegram struggled in the beginning, but did well in the final.  Trouble is, his body ran out of gas about 1/2 way through.  I talked with Carver's father in the morning and he said the Jeffery also ran into a physical wall halfway through, but gutting through it and had a second wind.  It was the most physically demanding track on the season.  Poor Shayna doesn't stand a chance at these types of tracks, she looked awful and was well behind the second-worst rider.  Pegram has decided to carry on to the next race (although I'm not sure who will be tending his bike in the pits for this round).  He's a stunning-good rider, but it's hard to overcome age...

Have any of you watched the new AZ Super TT?

Fantastic track, great race this year.  Might be the future of Flat Track even though the track ain’t flat.

Yep , that was a great race , at least parts of it were . While it is a good addition to the series , there aren't many of those tracks around , and dirt track will remain mostly an oval track sport , where its roots are .
