Title: plastic chrome
Post by: John A on April 14, 2018, 02:15:12 PM
so I'm finishing up putting in a raked triple tree for a sidecar and decided to use a new front fender I've had stashed away for some years. While I dislike the plastic chrome accent strips used on Bassa's, its a job to delete them. well they rattle due to the attachment, tinnerman nuts on posts. I used marine Goop and worked it under the plastic with a feeler gauge. the excess rubbed off easily with some mineral spirits on a rag. this will keep them from rattling and keep them attached. it was easier to do on a used fender because the gap opens up.  I offer it as a tip to keep you amused during the snowstorm. :cheesy:
