V7 sport intake manifold question.
« on: February 25, 2017, 08:48:07 AM »
Hi All,
I was wondering if the intake manifolds from a 850 T will fit '73 V7 sport ?( without any mods )
I see both bikes use VHB 30 , just making sure.

thanks

Should be the same part. Look up the part nos. for each and see.

But then again... The part nos. might be different. IIRC some V7 Sport manifolds didn't have the vacuum ports cast in like the 850-T manifolds. In any case, I think they're functionally interchangeable - they both put the carbs at the same angles.

Ok , thank you again. Charlie.

The " distinguished" PO drill them but did a bad job on tapping them. Instead of weld the holes and re drill/tap them  ( eventually i will do that later on ) i am going to use a set from a 850 T found on e bay.

Knowing MG through a number of models. I wouldn't bet on them being interchangeable.  They should be but there is an outside chance that they may not.  They should fit but........
