Title: For the fishermen out there.
Post by: Tom on May 15, 2021, 02:03:34 PM
"A monstrous-looking fish normally found thousands of feet deep in the ocean washed up on a California beach."  Being a predator fish, I wonder how it tastes?    :food:   :boozing:

Anglerfish like this (the most common on the market being Monkfish) tend to have flesh more like a lobster tail than a normal swimming fish.   Thicker quadrant meat from very top & rear of the fish with essentially no side meat to filet like a typical round or flat fish.

We get monkfish while bottom fishing here.  Slice the head off boatside and keep the tail. That Anglerfish is another reason I and Chuck Berry don’t swim naked.
