Guzzi keys.
« on: January 05, 2019, 09:10:48 PM »
I wanted some spare keys for the G-5. Bought some blanks on Ebay, but they did not work out. Wrong ones. ALSO, Ace hardware told me they would not cut "outside" keys.... I contacted the seller. He asked me for the numbers on the keys/switch. I gave them to him, and explained the dificulty with Ace hardware. He sent me a set of keys already cut to match my ignition switch and fuel tank door.  :thumb:
He said he has a "soft spot" for Guzzis, and likes to help keep them running when he can. He has a lot of Guzzi key blanks. I asked if he would like to be mentioned on WG, and he said to give his email address for direct contact. So, here goes:

Perfect timing as I am headed to Ace later this morning to see if they’ll cut an extra key for me for the Scura using some blanks also bought on Ebay...if not I will use this new contact!

Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for posting that shorty! I bought some keys off the net, but they were the wrong ones. I'll have to contact Eric and get it done right.

AF1 Racing (af1racing.com) also provides this service, along with key blanks with and without the transponder chip used on CARC bikes, for example.

For the smallblocks w the non-transponder keys, it's easier.  Use ilco brand, blank number X270 TMC1.
Ilco is a popular key vendor, and most American locksmiths and Triumph dealers carry them.
