It’s always great to get experienced riders and wrenches in the WG family. I’m sure you will be willing and able to offer us information and assistance based on your years of experience.

Welcome to the fold Ed, from Northern Arizona. I spent a few years in Syosset in the 70's and Oyster Bay was one of places I enjoyed the most. Just pure beauty.

Welcome! I really ought to make my way to Long Island someday. I travel once a year from NH to my old home base of York, PA, and usually avoid NYC. When I was in PA, I occasionally visited to do comic conventions (New York Comic Con is a great one) or to visit as visitors otherwise do to NYC, but I never really explored the areas beyond, like Suffolk County.

WOW ! What a great welcome ! I look forward to connecting with all of you .I'm a traveler .- ruined my plans to head out west in 2020 and again in 2021 but this will change.I love to just hit the road and wander. My last long trip was up to the Canadian Maritimes for a 5 week ride. Wrote a blog post about it here :
https://motoguzzi850t.blogspot.com/2015/11/a-post-from-past.html
My shorter rides are usually up to the Adirondacks where I have a camp or down to PA or out to Mid Ohio. I love and live to ride

Hi from Australia and welcome Yamaguzzi.
Will be good to hear of your exploits. You’ve a great turn of phrase and your blog is fantastic.
I love the look of the country in the upper Northern hemisphere. I started my on road biking life on Suzuki triples and I still adore that two stroke smell.
You’re gonna’ be a great contributor.
Huzo.

Thanks for the post New Guy.

I also have an 850T attached to a Ural and I was telling my son how well it runs.  Sure I have to baby it on startup / warmup and it really doesn't want to go above 60 mph as a 'Hack but it just runs so well and it's short enough for my dwarf legs.  It's been slightly updated with a Dyna trigger, all LED lights and a weird English Charging indicator that's hidden between the Speedo and Tach.

Hi Ed and welcome from the other side of the (Atlantic) pond!

Have you only one Guzzi???

One on the road ,I just parted out an 850-T that was left under a tarp for 20 years outside.Paid 100 USD for it.The rear drive is already in my T and the trans is good as are the instruments. It even came with a title so I can build it if I want but I'll probably sell the frame with the numbers matching engine cases so someone else can build it. I do have 6 motorcycles registered, inspected ,and on the road that I ride.A 1965 Yamaha YDS3,a 1966 Yamaha YM1 ,a 1969 Yamaha DS6C ,a 1971 Yamaha R5B ,and a 1988 BMW K 100RS . I do love my 2 strokes !
