But the Classic is not. Not everyone has to ride the freeways/interstate to get somewhere (thank goodness).
looks nice....but the more I look, the more it seems like a caricature of the original with it's pudgy parts...
Charlie, I know that you can't rely on a lot that you read on the internet, but I'm thinking (maybe more hoping) that the RE350 Classic is bound for the U.S. Here is an article that hopefully is accurate:https://www.hotcars.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-2022-royal-enfield-classic-350/This article is from Sept '21, so maybe it was just wishful thinking. We'll have to see what really happens as we get into 2022. And back to the OP - I think the new BSA is a beaut and hope it makes it here too. It would be nice to have a big 650 retro single before I have to hang up my helmet. Mahindra huh!
Interesting that the retro Gold Star puts out 45 or so HP, where the retro Enfield single is only 29 or so. I’d be tempted by the Gold Star. Putting together a US dealership network, though, is a huge undertaking and I don’t see it happening. Remember Motus?
I think this new BSA is worthy of a closer look..."pudgy-parts" and all! Then again, one could just buy a MAHINDRA DI 255 Power Plus...and be done with it!!
QUOTE: Motus - wasn't the starting price on that north of $30K? That probably had a lot to do with their demise.I always thought they were cool, but "YES" they were way too expensive for the average rider...
I wish there was a new "version" of the Yamaha SRX
I had an SRX600 as my first bike after passing my test in 1996. Mine was a poor example, the previous owner having mullered it a bit. If I could get a good clean one, I would love it as a second bike. BTW the bike that replaced it with me was an SZR660.......quite interesting bikes in thier own right.....
Remember, in 15 years more or less, there may be no more new fossil fuel burning engines...Manufactu res have to consider this with the current new bikes and some may be less likely to dump a lot of development cash into a dying horse... On the other hand, the last of the fuel burners could be quite the show...
THAT was a cool bike...as was this one! ...and let's not forget about the legendary HONDA HAWK NT650!!

It's a 45hp 650 single, why liquid cooling?
So is the new Guzzi , and most new Hondas , and , well most all new designs . TS
Ok. Well. Then I’ve got a big ☹️ to all of them. Don’t forget that antifreeze is a potent poison to dogs, cats, goats and other lovable animals. I don’t want to encourage poison-mobiles.
So you have an air cooled car or truck?
