Hi - great information.
Speeds Cycles in Elkridge, MD should be deleted, however. He may have a left-over MG or 2, but he no longer represents himself as a MG dealer (unless that has changed in the past couple of months).

Wayne, Excel takes the spreadsheet address information and drops it onto the map. I don't see a way to extract latitude and longitude information (although clearly it's known within the program). I guess you could look each one up, but then why?

Thanks, much better and more usable than the Moto Guzzi "find a dealership" site. It took me several days of searching before I stumbled upon a nearby dealer (I live in Louisiana). Amazing that there are so many in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and none in Houston.

Actually, doing this as a POI (points of interest) set for GPS use would be valuable when traveling. Maybe I'll take a swing at that. The POI list would (by definition) include the GPS coordinates....

I have an OLD POI file that I used to maintain if you are interested in using/looking at it as a starting point.

I guess I could just add a link to the first post of this thread, although using my domain site as a pseudo-ftp site seems unusual. Perhaps it could be linked from the WG site and I could then email to you (or...) when the list is updated. I'm more likely to just keep the list in my phone and go from there if I need to find a dealer.

That's a thought. I've not done that, but I imagine it's simple enough to do. Perhaps, even, that map could be embedded on WG someplace? Your call. For now, let's let it percolate to a better state of accuracy. I'm sure it's still full of old stuff (even if it did all come from Guzzi-USA/Canada. Just having the table probably satisfies 80% of the demand.

The four in the Dal-Foat Worth metromess are within a 50 mile radius. Two in tarrant county. I thought there could only be one per c ounty.
The interesting thing would be to see how many dealers could install a tire on a 1400.

It comes across, but there are a lot of location and naming errors (listed dealer name doesn't match current dealer name as shown on Google, coordinates are not where dealer actually is). I'll give it a bit of a clean-up, maybe add the phone numbers to the comment field, and publish it as both Garmin and TomTom POI files. Where the dealer name doesn't match, I'll show the name as it can be verified by the actual dealer website.

OK, here's something for the interested to chew on...
Here are three points of interest files for you to check and verify - one each in Garmin, TomTom, and TyreToTravel format. I will be working a bit more on these to include the corrections being offered in this thread, and to add phone numbers for those systems that support them as a comment for each POI. Some important notes on how these differ from the source Daniel created:
- Business names may not match - I've used the business name as it shows on the building and in search engines to make contacting them easier while on the road.
- Locations may vary somewhat from street addresses provided - if there was a difference between the one in the source list and that published on the business website or verifiable by Google StreetView, I used the one that shows on the business site or verified by photo. The GPS coordinates are moved to where I can best verify the business currently is located.
- Phone numbers are those published by the business - and may differ from those on the MG website.

The advisory re waypoint limits is a standard warning I give, since many people have rather old GPS units still in use (I still keep one or two of those around myself!).
That GPX came from Tyre, which has a habit of assuming anything with GPX is a route and not just a list. For use, I generally clean them up in Basecamp before I finalize them. These versions are for verification and as noted, will be further modified before being 'finished'.

You are absolutely correct. I've added MPH to the list, even if that makes the title slightly in error. The point of the list is much more for on-the-road help than a source to buy a new Guzzi.
I also re-sorted the list by state and then by city (might make it clearer).

Putting names and addresses of motorcycle businesses out there in public is fine (even good), but I don't think I should do that for individuals--that's what the MGNOC contact list is for. It's curious that Matt isn't listed (although the available list is a couple years old).

I had to look. Yep, Matt is listed as one of the two NM reps on the public MGNOC web site. Along with his phone number which ends in 8383 or T3T3. :)
So, it might be redundant to post him here, except that he does have some arrangement worked out with Piaggio.

I've taken Daniel's excellent work and made another version that I hope is helpful. It's an interactive web map that will allow you to put in a search to find a dealer. I'm working on getting this out as an "app" but it's taking longer than I thought. Some other options are a "crowd" sourcing app that would allow everyone to contribute as dealers come and go. If it sucks, or doesn't work, please let me know and I'll try to fix/improve. regards, Andy

the foolproof way is to just copy the list (and map) to your phone--or print it and stick it in a Ziploc in the tool bag. that way you'll have the address for your gps and you won't need cell connection.

No. I'm guessing the demand isn't there. Most riders in need will look for the nearest location in the list, and then go... It's a short list.

A couple of years ago, a new Guzzi dealer opened in Toledo Ohio, I have no Idea if it is still there.
Also I was in Harrisons Eurosports this september 2016, and they had dropped their Guzzi department a week before I arrived. However they still had an eng oil filter, and did the oil changes for me.
Supposedly there is another Guzzi dealer in Utah, joint arctic cat, sort of place, but I have not seen it , myself.

New dealership in Ontario Canada. I met the owner and his wife at the Toronto bike show and seem like great down to earth people to work with. He said his first bike he worked on as a professional mechanic was a V7 model from the 70s. ( or at least that's what I understood)

No; I don't believe so. The website you've given shows that Wheelsport is in Orleans, Ontario. The two dealers (with sort of similar names) are:

I've changed the listing to included the words "quality previous dealer" as I also did earlier for MPH in Houston. Which brings up the question: Do I keep MPH on the list? If it turns out that Rosefarm is out of the Guzzi business entirely, I'll remove them from the list.

After looking at this map, many riders who can't fathom riding long distances without a dealer available if they have an issue must be shocked to see Guzzis ridden all over the USA with so few dealers around if they need help. :rolleyes:

The dealer in Pensacola Florida is no longer what most people would call an active dealer. They have only two leftover Guzzi bikes on the floor, a 2017 V9 Bobber and a 2016 Stornello that they are trying to move at reduced prices. My understand from talking to them is that they will no longer stock any Guzzi bikes but special order one for anyone placing a deposit.
You can verify this information by contacting them.
They remain an official dealer, can order parts and perform service.
The bikes just never sold for them.
They are focusing on their BMW, Indian and recently-acquired Japanese brands.

I know nothing about them. I just stumbled upon the listing by chance. let's hope they have some success with the brand, but I fear the worst. In the gallery section of their site there are some photos of bikes on the floor and being uncrated, so it does all seem real.
They are not on the Moto Guzzi Canada site's dealer search, but that doesn't surprise me.

lol ouch, shot fire...but funny thing is, that is why I pass on the sportster when I was shopping for a bike...my tailbone couldn't handle more than 30 mins of riding even with suspension tuned.

Come on ... it's part of the adventure! At least it was when I was 23 years old. Maybe not so much today.
Picture breaking down on a BSA Spitfire Scrambler in the middle of the King Ranch in Texas in 1966. I did, and somehow, got back on the road, with the help of some very sympathetic locals.
Love those old memories of the breakdowns, and subsequent help I received from local residents. Maybe I should say "hated the breakdowns, have fond memories of the help I received."

I've updated the map and list (refer to the first page of this thread for the latest version).
I've gone through each of the websites for the previously listed dealers and removed any of them that no longer have any mention of Moto Guzzi. It's possible (even likely) that the official Guzzi home page will have a longer list, but their list has always been notoriously out-of-date and isn't trustworthy. Thirteen dealers have been removed with this update.
If you know of any further changes, please add those and I'll update the list (and map).

Sorry to say, but Kustom Workz in Buffalo, NY, no longer deals in Moto Guzzi. They seemed pretty into it, & brought demo bikes & their service trailer to the Western New York Rally a couple years, but they dropped Guzzi to get Triumph. Now I just heard (within the last week) that they've severed ties with Triumph as well. The only new bikes they handle now are Ural & Royal Enfield....
There was rumor of another independent dealer in Buffalo inquiring about picking up Moto Guzzi, but I'm not holding my breath.

Maybe not so much. I was just about to post that I just heard that Wheelsport in Orleans, ON, had said that they are no longer a dealer (although they will still service). I've also heard that the Sudbury dealer is no more, but no direct confirmation on that.

It would be nice if Piaggio kept the Moto Guzzi website up to date. Both Moto Vida and Wheelsport are still showing as active dealers. Sudbury is, too, and I've heard through the grapevine that they are also not dealers anymore.
We are fortunate in Canada, though, as we do still have a good number of active dealers.

I'm not sure about Leo's South in Lakeville anymore. The newest Guzzis they have on their site are 2017 models and I'm pretty sure they never had any 2018s for sale. I don't know, maybe they just order them. They just sold a blue V7III for $6,000 and have a big discounts on their remaining stock. They've got plenty of 2019 Vesas and one 2019 Piaggio Liberty for sale. I'm not sure if they're still servicing Guzzis. That leaves Caswell as the only active MN Guzzi dealer. It's just inside the 35 mile towing radius for American Motorcycle Association roadside service plan.

You're welcome, but it's actually a trivial thing for me to update the list and the map. The key is that WG members continue to report new shops (if ever) and shops that are now out of business. It's been clear enough that Guzzi NA doesn't have an assigned person to do this task.

Good catch Flip. I've had several conversations with that dealership since they bought out Matthews Fun Machines. The answer was always, "We're working on it, look at our website." I looked at their inventory daily and even today they have no Guzzis listed, but you went a different route and found them on the MG website. Good for you. They, or MG of Greensboro will be the dealership I will be using for my first Cali 1400 check up. We'll see.
Does anyone have any feedback on either of these dealerships? That might help me to decide.

Thank you again to Dan for his time and talents on this thread/project. I went to the Team Charlotte website and they still do not have Moto Guzzi listed...HOWEVER, if you go to the Matthews Fun Machines website, it directs you to a site that has both the TC and MFM logos and they do have Guzzi's, The address listed is the one in Charlotte. I'm guessing that this is still a work in progress and the TC website will catch up soon.

I stopped by red ember in Daytona yesterday with some friends on a ev from Sanford, he just dropped guzzi but kept Vespa. He was very down on guzzi saying guzzis suck and genrally was spewing puss so bad my friends couldnt wait to leave he also said cycles of Jacksonville were next I will ask the Tuesday if rumor is true. I've stopped into red ember every time I was in Daytona to atleast

Red ember in all the times I stopped by never had new stock only preowned apparently he would take orders on new but Mc retail is a touchy Feely thing for the most part I'm in the luxury timepiece business and same generally applies, but every time I went there I would at least purchase a oil filter or something for the griso , he seemed to have sour grapes, but if you don't make an effort to promote a niche market item aggressively Noone knows that you have it locally I doubt Vespa is much different in dealer relation with Piaggio running the show, my 2cents rant over .

Roy, I can create a GPX file for you if you'd like--that's easy enough. Google likes the KPL format (from when they bought out Keyhole), but I believe the program can inport GPX, which is more of a universal standard.
or, you can save the table in the first post as a text file to your phone and then just copy-paste the GPS coordinates to whatever map program you use. Seriously, there are not so many Guzzi dealers in the U.S. and Canada that you can't tell by the list which one is closer.
on my phone, I keep the map and the table along with the GPX file loaded into my Garmin

Roy, I just created a .GPX file from the table on the first page of this thread. To make sure it was all working, I uploaded it into Google Maps for PC, and it all seems to have worked. I'm quite sure you could do this on your phone, as well. With this, you can navigate to any dealership just by clicking the name.

Sorry about all the questions i'm somewhat challenged in the computer dept and I can see you have put a lot of thought into this.
I am not very smart with my I-phone but my Son in Law writes apps for Airports and Municipalities I can lean on him once things settle down at the moment its all at the other end of the phone.
Im sure I'm not the only one that finds it a challenge to copy and paste from the forum to a phone there's absolutely no urgency, I can't see me going anywhere this year.
It just occurred to me that it might be a good road trip to visit half a dozen dealers and see what they have in stock. It would sure be re-assuring to know that you have a dealer at your fingertips each step of the way up until now I was considering just printing out the thread.
I see Wayne hints at this in his post No 2.

Yes; always. If you look at the bottom of the first post, you’ll see the date when it was last edited. The map also has a date—they’ll match. That first post is really all that is needed—all the subsequent replies could be deleted. I advise people to keep a link to it if they want to refer to it later.

I agree; the advertising approach on this wildguzzi site is often intolerable. There can be up to seven ads spread through the post. Ads should never interrupt a post. I don’t blame Luap; I blame the hosting site.
How do you copy and paste? Do you also copy the map?
You might click on the “quote” button, which will bring up the background text for the post—you’ll see the table and you should be able to easily copy it. Obviously, do NOT actually post this quote—just cancel out of it after you’ve copied the table.
You can save the map as an image to your camera or your Mac. On the camera, press and hold the image for the menu, and the save it. I’m not sure what the mouse clicks would be on a Mac, but It’s a routine thing.
Of course, I have the original map already (since I created it), so I don’t need to copy it from Wildguzzi.

There's nothing wrong with the thought. I did that for a bit, but there was never any support (meaning timely notes to keep the list current) as there has been for dealers. One exception is that MG-Cycle is included in this list even though they are neither dealer nor shop.

When I visited Corsa Meccanica in Vaughan (Ontario) 2 weeks ago, they told me that they were no longer an official Moto Guzzi dealer. Piaggio had too high demands in terms of annual sales requirements. I checked and found out that Piaggio had removed them from their website ("Dealer Locator").

Much of the low stock at dealers is likely to be there inability to get stock, rather than not wanting it.
Guzzi come over in batches, in the best of times, which we are far from now. If a particular dealer doesn’t have the bike you want on the floor and they can’t get it from another dealer, be prepared to wait.

You are most likely correct. Reno has none and Elk Grove only has three. EuroCycle Vegas has a bunch though and Sonoma has 10.

I don't remember now but I don't think the Eagle Rock dealership even had the Moto Guzzi logo on their website. I scrolled through their inventory and there they were. I think they are new to the brand and haven't upgraded their website. I wonder if due to the interest in and sales of the V85's and V7's haven't renewed interest in the brand by dealers. I sure hope so for the sake of the company. However I don't want to see one on every corner I like my exclusivity. :evil: :grin:

I think you can drop Seminole Power Sport (North and South) in Sanford and Eustis, Florida. I haven't been by there lately but their web site doesn't show a Moto Guzzi logo anywhere I saw. They do have a used 2016 Moto Guzzi V7 II Stornello ABS for sale, about 3/4 ways down.
