Best location for catch can on Tonti Cali
« on: July 09, 2019, 05:11:35 PM »
I am preparing to install a drainable catch can on my Tonti Cali and was wondering where folks mounted theirs. My pick for the location would be where the bracket that holds the drain tube in the rear  below the gearbox simply because said drain tube would naturally get routed into the catch can.  Mine will be built  from copper pipe  with a ball valve spigot at the bottom to drain the oil from Any other ideas, pics would be great. I will post mine after install. Cheers

Are you using that as a catch can for sump oil from the breather?

Mine is a small plastic pill bottle with a hole in The Bottom for the drain hose. Unscrew the lid to drain in situ. It is tricky to wire it in but doable. No pics as my bike is in pieces.

Thanks for posting that. Reminded me that a silver flask is not needed to drip oil into. Besides It was getting away from Guzzi Content fast with the cost of copper bits, a drain valve and what not. Here is the Guzzi/red suspender version. A toothpick container attached to the bracke/ tube  for the drain
