After a couple attempts to fix the main seal on our V7 III Carbon Dark .Guzzi agreed to give it a new Motor, hmmm .That only took 4 Month to get here [MB/Cdn.] Now Dealer opened the Crate and ,.........Wrong Engine !!! Great It is for a V 85 TT. That Bike been almost longer in the Shop than in our Garage . Time to trade .
Do you know for sure if was a Piaggio or dealership screw up ? Just kinda curious . Did you get a look at the dealerships order ( or warranty ) form ? Peter
Yeah I'm now fascinated by the possibilities. What won't fit?AFAIK the block is literally the same. So what is different and can things be swapped to make it work?Could be cool.
Well ,I'm ~300 km away from the Dealer, and currently don't have much time on hand to go back and forth [Work ].I was told that a couple holes on Frame and Block don't fit. Cause the Motor that was send is for the V85 TT.Anyhow ,valid point to ask ,"if perhaps a screw took place on the Dealer side". For right now waiting on response from Guzzi/ Piaggio. Been that long ,......... And perhaps after all this ,another V7 will happen ,... V7 850 [the real thing]
also ECU and accessories.
And in the end you'd have Frankenbike that is furthered devalued as its not factory.
@AJ, that's what i said, 'couple cuts ,couple brackets and of we go' .Yea, Dealer is considering Bike swap ,perhaps V7 /850.
I said it would be interesting, not likely....Yeah so a used Guzzi goes from a value of $1 to $0.50.Big deal.
The engine case isn't the same - different frame mounting points.
But it also narrows down potential buyers form one in a hundred million to one in a gazillion
