Somebody had a yellow Roamer at the New Mexico Rally this past weekend.  Looks nice in the flesh!

Yup. A yellow one shows up at bike nights.
Old enough to say I've done it, young enough to do it again.

Someone from CO rode his V9 Roamer to the Datil Rally last weekend!

I did not get a chance to talk to him but it is a nice looking bike, and very "Sportster-like" (IMHO) in appearance! :thumb:

Think he(proud owner) said it had 2,500 miles on it so far and the seat was comfortable.  :thumb:

That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

I sat on a Roamer on Monday. Depending on how it performed and handled, I would consider one if I wasn't already sending all my money to an institute of higher learning. It's not what I would consider a perfect motorcycle, but pretty much everything is some sort of compromise.

Well I had a test ride on a V9 Roamer last week, would prefer the Bobber but no demo machine of that. I currently ride a V11 sport so the style and riding position were different and some of my 30 minute ride was taken up with getting used to the feet forward cruiser style. But overall I liked, engine felt good, plenty of Guzzi character and was comfortable and fun around town, cruised happily at highway speeds and picked it's skirt up when asked to. Gearbox was good although the delay in the Gear indicator on the dash catching up with the what I had done was odd, but was expected as I had seen this commented on in reviews.  Overall I liked it, and would consider the problem for me and Guzzi is I like the V11 a lot and so really not in the market unless I could add it to the Garage rather than replace.

I would need to change the exhaust way to good at cutting out the noise, so something which allowed the engine to talk would be needed. And the chrome badges on the tank frankly looked cheap and plasticky which when set against the quality of the rest of the bike was a shame.

Sort of like the eagle on the bikini fairing of my 1200 Sport.  It's metal, but it looked so cheap on this lovely bike, I took a few feet of monofilament off a fishing reel, and used it to 'saw' off the eagle logo.

Speaking about the V9 (Roamer or Bobber) I've not ridden either.  But I personally think the Roamer is cosmetically a lovely machine.  Don't know that I'd like the ergonomics all that much.  But, if smaller is the direction Guzzi is headed, this isn't a bad platform.

I talked to the Roamer rider at the VLA, he had traded his Jackel in for it. He also said it was breaking it and he was pushing the ton easier than when it was new. Not that he likes to run fast, just commenting on how it is loosing up as it breaks in. So far, he likes it. A lot.

The Convert is from out of Wyoming and I met them at a rally in Ely Nevada earlier in the year. The rider and his wife said they left Wyoming three times to get to Ely because it was so windy. On the forth try they were finally able to keep out of Wyoming.

Test rode a Bobber at the Nationals. I'm not their customer, obviously. It's a cruiser with all the traits you either love or hate on cruisers. Build quality looks good, and it worked fine. For what it is.

I'm the guy with the hair.     I like the bike except the foot controls.  It would take some getting use to.     I rode it after Chuck.  I would recommend for one up riding.  2 up for short distances.

I'll be getting a Bobber but I'm in no hurry.  Price reductions are as certain as day follows night, so might as well wait for it.

This will be my #2 bike, my poser/hipster/barhopper in-no-hurry-to-be-anywhere bike.

I just want the Guzzi sensation for short rides.  Nothing much more.  Between the V7, Griso, and V9, I think the V9 is the Goldi-locks solution for my modest wants.
