Since I had the 2010 Cafe Classic in the “Legnano” paint scheme, I would choose the V7 Sport, unless Moto Guzzi came out with a Tribute bike in the 850 platform. 

I definitely prefer modern tribute bikes, cars, trucks, than the original.  Modern handling, with classic looks.

Almost 50 years between build dates and it is remarkable how competent the V7 Sport is to ride when compared to it's modern brother.  They are very similar on the road, with the fun factor edge going to the V7 Sport as the extra bit of panache just bleeds through the handlebars.
