Interesting MOPED business
« on: September 09, 2021, 08:02:10 AM »
Sunday Morning Motors in Minnesota...

They specialize in the restoration / sale of European Peddle Mopeds. :thumb:   :boozing:

Just thought this was a very interesting niche business...I have seen several of their PUCH mopeds for sale on BaT...

Wow, some of those are really really slick looking! I used to borrow a neighbors Puch to tool around the neighborhood when I was 13 or so. I shared a paper route with a friend, and we both used a skateboard to deliver papers: a pile of papers on the front of the board weighted down with a brick, and just pushing ourselves from house to house. With the moped, we'd still stack them on the board, but would hold a rope and let the moped pull us along.

I could see myself buying one for picking up six packs from the corner store someday.

Here's a nice example...

Peddle:
try to sell (something, especially small goods) by going from house to house or place to place.
"he peddled art and printing materials around the country"

Pedal:
each of a pair of foot-operated levers used for powering a bicycle or other vehicle propelled by the legs.

Just when I'm trying to find a home for My Puch Maxi, I even looked into making it electric.

There is a great thread on ADV posted by a guy who electrified an older sadly neglected Vespa.
