So it looks like V7 Sport fenders with holes for the rubber eyelets for the brake cables have the long portion of the fender forward. Those with no holes tend to have the short end forward. Many of these use the Eldo style eyelet attached to the bolts of the rear fender stay. My V7 with the short end forward has no holes and no eyelets. Maybe I should get some repros from Cycle Garden. I must admit that the long end forward looks better, although the long end to the rear may function better.
