Uh-Oh: Jaing Hack on Convert
« on: May 31, 2019, 03:41:14 PM »
So close

So inexpensive

So tempting.

The '76 Vert looks decent.

Anyone have any experience with Chinese hacks??

Looks like I'm going to have to go fishing or cut bait

Is it one of the old CJ 750 hacks , or a more modern OHV series hack ? The old ones are fine , I've both ridden in one of those chairs and operated the old CJ it is attached to .

No idea on the hack.  I'll have to call him to find out.

The 'Vert it's attached to looks decent and has a deep sump.

If you have an atv, brush up on your riding skills with that.  Practice turns and doughnuts.

I installed a Jaing chaing sidecar on a GL1000 for a customer a few years go. Seemed fine. He still has it and is very happy with it.

As I get closer to making the drive to Medford to visit the Hacked-Vert I have another question for the forum.

Best Guess --- is a Hacked-Vert a 55-60 mph machine like a Ural or can you cruise at 65-70 if only for a few hours assuming you want to

My youngest and I have been making multi day West Coast tours and find most of the Nevada freeways have 75-80 mph traffic  including the "extended" semis

I don't want to be the slug doing 60 mph in the one lane of a two lane 75+ mph freeway.  the main reason I'm staying away from urals

and I will spend a number of long days getting used to the 'Hack before  I even attempt above 55 mph

I would think a convert hack would do that. My Jack-All rig would easily cruise at 80 plus.
