In not sure I buy B and D, let me explain.

B. The smaller the bike the larger the effect any movement on the saddle has and this can be a negative with regards to stability in low speed maneuvering. Conversely it doesn't take a whole lot of weight to counterbalance a tight turn so there's no real net benefit to a lighter bike in those circumstances.

D. I can't bench press my V7 or my RK, so the difference in weight means nothing. In both cases the simple mechanical advantage of the jack is applied to do the work.

B. I enjoyed riding my eldest son-in-laws Road King on Georgia back roads, but did not enjoy slow speed maneuvering on it.   Maybe I'd get accustomed to it.   However, when I get myself into a precarious situation, stopping on the shoulder of desert back roads, etc., I am glad to have a lighter bike.

D. The tether I use to ensure that the bike is stable may not be adequate for a heavier bike.

At age 70, lightness is all the more appreciated!

The only reason I have a motorcycle larger than a 500cc is because they just don't make REAL road bikes with real seats, leg room and a place for a passenger or to tie stuff on.!! any more.

If I want to tow something I went to 800cc, All I need, hauls a trailer with motorcycle/camping gear and better mileage than my friends get one up on their Goldwings.

I am the happiest with my older bikes.

Weight of the bike makes a huge difference especially when your trying to get out from under it or picking it up with stuff packed on it.

All personal preference, Big can be beautiful BUT smaller is really fun if you can accept the shrugs and jeers at not owning an land yacht?

Celebrate the differences available!!

For dirt I care a lot about weight. My Husky TE450 is  about 250 pounds. That means I can lift it over things (one wheel at a time) if I get stuck. Not only is a light bike easy to pick up, light bikes crash with less damage than heavy ones.

On the road, I like a bit of weight to deal with winds. My V11 feels just right to me. The R1200GSA I rode recently was an unwieldy beast to push - but it felt light while riding.

Old(er) age made me switch from Norge 8V to Beemer F700Gs and Breva with side hack.  Norge became too much of a handful in slower situations with passenger and luggage.  I almost dropped it a few times moving it in or out of the garage and decided to go lighter.  If only the latter would apply to myself

Pushing the Norge on gravel for me is impossible and a good way to go arse up!
However it's not hard to start the bike in gear and ease the clutch out while walking along side. You develop strategies to overcome small inconveniences at home for a bike that's what you want when you're away.
I wouldn't put up with something that wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding, just so I could pick the bugger up in the event of a drop. Work that out if/when it happens. :embarrassed:

If you're into cruisers for at least part of your riding, you won't get that relaxed, plush, luxurious ride without some serious wheelbase and weight. That's why I bought my Cali, and it delivers. That said, at 700 lbs and top-heavy, it is not a delight to push around the garage or parking lot. And I don't look forward to trying to pick it up by myself (fingers crossed). In contrast, my Beemer, which weighs 200 lbs less and carries its weight low, feels like a middleweight in comparison. So I mostly ride the Beemer for local jaunts, errands etc., and use the Cali for some of my longer rides.

The weight of the MGX21 is more apparent to me than the Cal Touring 1400.  Difference is the front wheel and kick stand.  The 1400 Eldorado's weight is better because of the front wheel being smaller.
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉
