I have just mounted Southco E6-10-430-50 hinges with constant friction on my side panniers - much better than the original ones.:

Looks sweet!! A no brainer, why would you not put them on. Prevents bangs & chips in the bags & tops.

The new hinges fit but the space to mount is very narrow.

In some case the hinges might fit better when you put a washer underneath.
