Real sugar. No artificial sweeteners, I read an article many years ago saying coke tried but the Mexican market refused to buy the product.
Mexican Coke is what Coke used to be before NEW COKE where they replaced cane sugar with corn syrup back in the ‘80s. For whatever reason they wanted to make it closer to Pepsi which was sweeter at the time. It was a flop because Coke drinkers preferred the dryer taste. A few years later Coke modified new Coke with some cane sugar but it was never the same. Pete
Do you have references for your claims? Just asking because my wife worked for Coke in the 80s, and she said they pulled New Coke and stayed with the previous formula.
No references, just remembering history. Kent says the same thing. I think if you check the ingrediants today it will say cane sugar and corn syrup. I have some Mexican Coke here now that I offer to guests. I drink soft drinks but only occaisionally these days. Pete
It’s not cut with baby laxative
The Mexican stuff is illegal alien Coke. Released without testing
I had a coke the other day and the label says it is the original formula. Except for the high fructose corn syrup.
It appears the Mexican Coca Cola we are getting here is unique to our market , the stuff sold in Mexico is the same corn syrup based junk sold here . Weird huh ? Then again , remember the chain that advertised 11 secret herbs and spices in their chicken , turns out it was mostly salt and a couple different types of pepper , with a serious dose of MSG . Mmm , MSG The Sultan
