I think I want a Stornello
« on: September 25, 2022, 04:21:49 PM »
After seeing so many cool Stornello's at the Guzzi Museum in Mandello and other locations in Italy I really want top find a Stornello, a scrambler or competition one would be ideal, anyone got one they don't want anymore?

Imho, I think a Stornello 125 ISDT replica would be the one to have if you could find one to own.  That is one of the very few legitimate shoulda-kept bikes I had.

Mine went to someone near Memphis TN iirc who had at least one more ISDT replica.

ISDT is the holy grail, but if you find one you’re gonna pay.

They imported the “Scrambler America” and the “Sport America”.  More common.

My scrambler in its latest iteration.  Have done 2 Giros with it.  Bought it from Mark Etheridge with 380 original miles.  The original tires date coded 1967 are hanging on my garage wall. 8-10 HP, and fun as hell to ride.

Here are the last two that *SOLD* on BaT....The *SOLD* prices don't seem to be too unreasonable.  Cool little bikes, overall! I like the white ones!  The ISDT versions are VERY desirable....:thumb:

The ISD Trial that was available 7 years ago or so slipped through my fingers.  One has been on the "list" for a long time.  Jim, I will take your cast off if you find 2 or 3.   :cheesy:
