Bought mine from Northern years ago. Agree w/all the advice above, add to watch the ramp on the back end of the table when lowering. If you have a rough concrete floor like mine, it can hang up &  tilt the table forward.
 Just finished a job, anxious to get her down & go for a test ride, hit the pedal and.....Didn't have a disaster, just a reminder to pay attention.

When I raise the table on my HF lift, I remove the ramp.  Wouldn't trust the 2 pins to suspend the ramp when suspended in mid air.
I also believe it relates this in the owners manual, for the HF lift.

Yeah, me, too. I don't bother with the washers and safety pins. Just takes a minute, and gives you more room to walk around it, too.
