Heading up Saturday.  I've been going to this for the past 11 years with the same 2 friends.  It always kicks off the season for us though there always seems to be way too much winter left.

If Chicago mirrors like Mpls did last weekend, the triplets..... Polaris, Slingshot, Indian had all the attention!  Sure the $38,000 CVO HD's were shiny along with the $30,000 BMW's but Polaris knows promotion.

Maybe Sunday, but depends on a family get together or not. Would rather go Friday but they open the show too late in the day because of previous commitments. Oh well.

Don't think we'll be making it.  I'm too cheap to pay for admission and parking.  I also have to work Friday and Saturday nights, and probably wouldn't get up early enough on Sunday to make it down before it closes.  Darn!   ;D

I'm out this year.  I'll be in town at the Dome in Rosemont for my 15 year olds volleyball tournament, but highly unlikely I'll make it to the show.

I'll be there on Saturday. I'll be wearing my Rose Farm Classics t-shirt, so say hi if you see me. Or, maybe that's your clue to turn and walk the other direction...  ;D

Well a balmy 0F. Almost time to head out to see all the new bikes except for the ones I'd really like to see. Not sure how much longer I can resist the lure of a new Triumph. The street triple appeals to my trident side but I still like the twins. Though the other nights hospital stay by my wife and the bill will probably make any bike wishes a moot point. I'll be in a guzzi shirt if anybody is there today.

Went yesterday with the family.  The new R1200RS was my favorite by far.
I shoot people and make mom's cry- can't believe they pay me for it!

I went on Saturday. The show was little too crowded for my taste--I'm not sure I saw everything, simply because it was like Ellis Island circa 1904 in there. With slightly less tuberculosis.

Random thoughts...
- Interesting that the custom bikes were still showing that super-fat-rear-tire thing that I thought was long out of style. Not many custom cafe racers, which in turn I thought were all the rage these days.
- The Kawasaki H2 was cool, but its specs aren't that much better than the ZX-14, which costs what? Ten grand less?
- The KTM RC390 Cup Racer was great--too bad you have to have a racing license to buy one.
- The Ducati Scrambler felt like my old Schwinn from 1971. I'm trying to decide if that is a good thing or not.
- Though there was no Moto Guzzi display, most of the attendees look exactly like us Guzzisti: old, fat, and white.  I kid because I love.
- Best demo: the Harley display had a young woman show how to lift a tipped 700-pound Softail and get it back on its side stand. A useful skill for all.

My favorite was the Cali 1400 that Windy City brought with and parked next to the aprillia they brought. Brianne really liked the sr 400 though I was little disappointed in the fz and fj09s. The bolts were really sharp looking. CB1100 was sharp as last year. That was about it, saw Tim smith and Steve myagama at the show. Nice 52 thunderbird sidecar rig that was timmiy's. The norton guys always have a nice display. Makes me want to go riding if the temp was about 30 degrees warmer and the sno and ice we're gone. I wonder what they'd give me on trade for that Cali?

JP and I went today. FOUND the one and only Guzzi, some hipsters were checking it out. I was shopping for a helmet, bought a new Nolan. JP ended up winning a free custom fit Bell Star helmet!
