God willing, there will be a Phoenix-Arizona Guzzisti contingency present and accounted for at this event! :1:
I made an effort to rent one of the cabins this morning so that [Chuck in Indiana] could be assured of a place to snore, but the guy who answered the phone said " they didn't have those pages in the book yet ". He allowed as that weekend was about two weeks out past their current booking page, and he had no doubts that those pages would be in the book soon. I clued him that there was a posting on the forum and he'd probably be hearing from others shortly. On a related note, in keeping with the suggestion by our brave organizers that " locals will be available to lead rides ", if anybody is interested in a trip to the beach Friday or Saturday I'll volunteer to learn how to lead a ride show you the way. This offer includes the use of my personal beach highway, Del Dios. No warranty's are implied or included, your mileage may vary, I've never lost a rider yet, force majure, terms and conditions may change without notice.
It makes me wish I was a small business owner. "Give me a couple of days and I'll have someplace to record your desire for my product/service"But no, I had to go into QA ....
The location is midway between the east grade of Palomar and Mesa Grande, so you'd be hard pressed to find a better spot for starting nice riding loops in the US. One (potential) issue for some may be grocery stores and restaurants - this is not suburbia. The Henshaw resort itself does have a decent restaurant, others are at the top of Palomar, in Santa Ysabel, and towards Pauma Valley. No grocery stores are anywhere nearby so I'd bear that in mind when packing: Ramona or Escondido would be closest. It'll be a beautiful time of the year weather wise, maybe the best.
I can get a six pack in the tank bag of the MZ. I be fine..
What are you going to do for the second half of the evening?

Dusty, we do like catfish, although I prefer catching my own.
I may be at Datil, I'm just looking to see if there's a room at the hotel where you guys are. San diego is a bit more iffy, I may be overseas.
You forgot droit de seigneur!
Eleven miles away in Santa Ysabel at the junction of 78 and 79 there is a general store.
OK, I got a room at the Largo - where the heck is the thread for the NM event?!? Some people just seem to tack stuff on to threads from previous years and it makes it impossible to locate through search...
