You attending this year?
I'll let you lead the drum circle and the Kum ba ya chorus.

Hippie days?  Let me check . . . what time is it now . . . ?

I'm hoping to be there.  I'm in the throes of getting the leading link front end installed right now.  Assuming I can make it roadworthy by early next week, I should be on my way.  If not, then the Okie.

I hope you can make it, Rodekyll.  There's some new Texas people coming that need to meet the builder of The Trike!

Mr. Wilson says he wants you to sing Kumbaya to him too.

Rumor has it that Dusty will be paying a visit to Texas, and maybe even to the Gulf Coast!  That in itself should be an occasion for festivities!

Are you planning on picking up another bike at Mike's...he's got a pretty cool Jackal on sale now, along with a white Norge!

Fellas , it isn't looking good , eating is a major hassle at the moment , probably gonna need some minor surgery done to remove a bone chip . I simply don't feel like being that much of a burden to everyone else , at the moment I am kinda like a one year old when it comes to meal time .

Is Wilson willing to chew my food , function as a "Catanart" ?

The dentist promised that this would only take a few weeks to adjust to , he lied .

I have it first-hand that yes, Wilson will chew your food.  Swallow it, too.  Just like a small food processor that doesn't share.  But if he really likes you, he'll hock some back up for your dining pleasure.  He mixes it with his favorite condiment -- "Great-Balls-o'-Hair".  It's like chunky bbq sauce with yellow fibers and lizard feet.  Available in the tofu section.

Seriously though, I feel your pain.  I hope the dentist gets his stuff together, and that you get to eat, soon.  It's a legit reason to not rally.

BTW -- even Tex is complaining about your new phone message, and he don't complain about anything.

I am sooooo sick of ice cream and yogurt , but a burrito smoothie is amazingly good .

About that phone thing , no idea why it even still answers with that message , it has been turned off for about 45 days . Oddly enough , Davedel called and it worked , no idea how that happened , freaky

Hey Dusty,  most of the food that will be served is soft:  spaghetti with no bones, and chicken vegetable soup, also with no bones.  Bill will be bringing his blender so he can eat.  Maybe he'd blend enough for you to if you asked him nicely!

A pee can is what you put under the bed so you don't have to make the trip to the outhouse. You eat a pi-kan'.

Getting a real late start to Lindale. Been waiting at AF1 for Norge first service since 10am this morning, with an appointment. They keep coming out and telling me it's almost ready. Probably won't be there until close to 8.

Well, it was a terrific rally.   Weather could not have been better.  Beautiful venue, great people, and a good time.

If you will indulge the paternal bragging--my daughter Sarah knocked it out of the park with a wonderful salad, garlic bread, and then a moist and light tiramisu cake, with Tia Maria coffee liqueur and other secret ingredients.  As always, Beaver's spaghetti and sauce was SUPERB, and a piping hot, hearty meal for them's what wanted to git on da road.

Of course, a lot of folks were sorely disappointed that the Texas Turnip did not make the GRIT rally in person this year on account of him recently occupying the same portion of the space-time continuum as a pick-up truck.

Fortunately, with modern technology, we were able to arrange for a Virtual Tex to show up on Sunday.

Many of the Guzzi faithful were thus able to send a "Tex Message."

Heal up soon Ken.  We all missed you.   And get yourself to Fort Worth Eurosport's in something other than a dream.

Beaver, did  Tom Au give Ken back the hat he loaned me 16 years ago when I visited him @ his place ?  I'd meet Ken again @ a Guzzi Rally but not know he was going to be there so wouldn't bring his hat then.

A.W., yes he did and I wore it when I went to see Ken at rehab after the rally Sunday evening. Eventually he remembered where he had seen that hat before and laughed.  Thanks for returning it, you made his day brighter!

Well, if he can remember something as insignificant as that then his brain is OK.   I gave it to Tom to give back to him before we even knew about his accident.
