Not sure about a big loop...  but here is a snap of Magoo riding his bike backwards during a national race, so it can be done.

I was just looking at that bumper, thinking "My Eldo had that piece - it was all there except for the side covers when I first saw it in that storage yard under a tarp" ... Good times, I had no idea what the hell a Moto Guzzi was, paid $350 USD circa 1979.
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.
