Bosch Starters: Are they Sealed?
« on: April 29, 2015, 10:22:15 AM »
Are the Bosch Starters that come on the G5, Convert, T3, etc. models waterproof or sealed of any sort? Just curious. Can they be hosed down and/or soda blasted to a light degree?

Thanks!

Not sealed completely, water (and likely soda too) can find it's way in.

I pressure wash mine all the time, they are built like a brick outhouse  ;-T
Sure they aren't water tight but leaks in, leaks out again.

Probably if soda get's in there it might not be a good thing I'm guessing. Is the soda used for soda blasting soluble, as in.. does it wash off/melt with water?
