Geezers in Leesville
« on: September 25, 2017, 08:46:26 AM »
Briney Jim and I had a great time at the Leesville Armadillo Rally. We had fun visiting friends and the Rally was a kick. Leesville's mayor, Rick ran away with two of the three trophies for "biker games" and a Guzzi MGX got second in the bike show. Actually, there were a few Guzzis there...a V7 Stone and a V9 Bobber were also in attendance. Ol' Briney and I parked our Calvins in front of a local muscle-car museum, not noticing that we were right across the street from the Vernon Senior Center. Just for the record, there were plenty of motorcyclists there that were even older than us...

I didn't know until recently that Leesville had a Guzzi dealer, but Adventure Motorsports of NWF (Pensacola, FL) is still several hours closer to us here in St Tammany Parish. We tried to drive the entire length of LA10, but multiple bridges/ferries were closed, so we used US190 to LA26 to US171. It was better than interstates, but was a long trip taking six hours. I can get to Pensacola in three...
