I am thinking of adding a caponord front fender to my V85, any opinions out there?

If you want it to look like this..
Go right ahead.

I trimmed a fair bit away.

Only opinion that matters is yours. I know I would if it was me, but alas............... .........

I did. It looks a little busy up front, but I value the fact that it deflects water and road grime.
I added a little flap of neoprene. So, basically the opposite direction that Huzo took!

I only trimmed away around the forks.
I have not removed any of the length.

Not the prettiest thing but highly functional. There's a separate post on what I used to make it.

They work well keeping mud and grime off the front of the engine. Without one... you get mud and grime on the front of the engine. You may also want to add one of Pyramid's Fenda-Extendas or a bit of neoprene like jrt did to the back to get a bit more coverage. I heated mine up in the oven and straightened it out a bit to get more clearance in front and back (see below), but this was just a bit of OCD on my part.
