If you look in the builds section of this forum, Canuck750 did matte black on his lemans. I did satin on my G5, which is sort of in the middle. They all look good. The shiny won't show the oil drips as much, but in a way, the matte or satin will act like a warning light that you need to take a look at something in that area Here is mine, pretty sure the powdercoater called it Satin. I know it wasn't their gloss, nor their matte.

This is hot rod flatz paint. There is a flat clear you can put over it but i like this sheen. I have a powdercoat guy that has the same sheen (different brand) for my Cal2 when its time. A few strategically placed chrome peices will pop out and contrast the flat pretty well i think. You cant go too overboard because then people just think the bike is confused
