Morning AllAs part of my winter "fettling" programme I pulled the centre stand of the bike to give it a coat of paint and a bit of lube!2 questions1) When re-installing it should the bolts be pulled up tight so that the stand rotates about the bush or left only just tight so that the bushes still can rotate? I only ask as I had one of each ;)2) Should there be one or 2 wavy washers?CheersTris
Brilliant and thanksJust need to track down a M18 DIN 137B wavy washer then!!!So far I can only find boxes of 200 over here!!
Had the same question a while back. Tighten those bolts up and the center stand wouldn't move. The cause? Aluminum bushings were frozen tight in the center stand. Solution? Drill them out (a little bit) and put slightly longer bushings within the original bushings. Greased it up and put it back together. The center stand is now tighter (no side-to-side motion) and much easier to use.Lateness.
Hi tris. I get my stuff from Stigs Stainless. They have the crinkle washers 11p each. http://www.a2stainless.co.uk/M8-Crinkle-wavy-washer-DIN-137B-A2_AESG.aspx?nh=2
