Vagrant:
Please report back on the radials in a while. I hate the new originals they don't like tar snakes and feel a bit snaky period. I've been running A41 Bridgestones on everything for a while but there weren't many choices for the old V7. Conti road attacks or trail attacks will be my first choice if available for the 26 v7.
Moparnut72:
I have just short of 500 miles on them. I like them a lot. The handling is much more responsive than the Classic Michelins. Tip in is quicker both at low speed as well as highway speeds. I haven't pushed them to the limits though, too old for those shenanigans anyway. The ride is more plush. The only negative I have seen so far is that they are kind of noisy on rough roads but not much of a bother. Rough roads in California are quite common but it only at very moderate speeds. With ear plugs it is hardly noticeable. I have not been a fan of Metzlers as my R75/5 came with them which wore out at a low mileage. I shouldn't base my likes or dislikes on an experience of 50 years past. These were the only radials that American Moto Tire carried for both front and tear at the time I bought them. They did have Drag Specialties stickers on them. DS has a warehouse a short distance from me which allows for really quick delivery usually next day.
