Clutch pushrod body flush with transmission?
« on: March 26, 2024, 07:24:27 PM »
Hi, I am slowly putting my rebuilt driveline (Thanks Jim canuck750!) back in to my Ambassador, and I'm just unsure on something.

Should the end of the clutch pushrod, the outer clutch body, be flush with the back of the transmission housing? Or should it protrude a few mm? Or recede?
I just want to be sure before I continue.

The clutch pushrod measures 228mm long. There is no ball bearing installed between the end of the pushrod and the inner clutch body.

Flush is good. There was no ball bearing in that location from the factory.

Thanks guys, I guess I had it right the first time, but I double guessed myself along the way.

Now, which end do these o ring seals go on the pushrod?
Towards the splines, or towards the outer clutch body?
