It altered my plans for shipping a couple of bikes over to Kona. We're drying out. We get all the natural disasters here to a small degree. So....the herd is fine and waiting for the others to join them. We haven't had pestilence, plague or famine but we have had flooding, earthquakes, tsunami, volcanic eruption. Missed all of that at the house. Yes, we have blizzards on the island but not at our elevation.
The hurricane just messed up my travel plans. Looks like I may not make any rallies. :undecided: Anyway Aloha to you all!!!

From the looks of things, a major blow and a long recovery...good luck to you all!

Glad you weren't severely affected, prayers to those who were.

If all you've suffered for all that is a busted schedule, you're truly blessed. Maybe you can make MoKan.

Fire and rain!
Glad it wasn't worse.

Cheryl and I were thinking about you. Glad you're ok.

I keep picturing a Hawaiian in the rain next to a volcano singing James Taylor’s fire and rain playing a ukelele

Wondered how you were surviving Tom.
Pleased all is (reasonably) ok. :thumb:

I was wondering how you were making it.... sounds like "same as usual" the way you roll with it.
Hang in there man!

When's MoKan? I was shooting for GRIT but that's the weekend before the Ironman Championships. I was thinking about the rally in the San Diego area but have to check the dates.
Thanks everyone but they really had it bad on the windward side of the island. 4' of rain. We only had a light drizzle. Nothing to talk about. Got lucky. :thumb:

Man Hawaii is definitely getting hit hard by lots of nature events of late.
First was flash flood, then volcano, and now hurricane right over the island...
Glad you guys are ok :thumb:

Looks Kauai is getting max rains now. We have 2 more hurricanes in the line-up from Mexico coming our way. They may turn into tropical storms however. There a couple of Moto Guzzis that I know of on that island. The long time MGNOC member that lived there is no longer around.
Hopefully the weather holds the week of the 12th. I'll try and ship the bikes then. I'll give a full report later.
