Single disc up front
« on: July 18, 2016, 08:10:13 PM »
Is there a huge benefit to the dual discs on my Cal II? I've had a few bikes with single discs up front and had brakes plenty good. I realize the single discs are usually a larger diameter rotor. Playing around with the old XS650 swapping between the 2 setups, I really don't see a difference. I don't play Johnny roadracer, either, so brake fade is not an issue. I might like to lighten up the front wheel assembly.

Lightening it up makes it faster which means you'll need better brakes. Just saying
