Went for an early morning ride with 2 mates on Honda CX500's to Lorne for coffee and then to Deans Marsh for breakfast. 2 of the best bike roads in Victoria. Lots of other bikes at Lorne and Deans Marsh, including Le Mans 1000. After breakfast 2 of us went to Colac and then onto Inverleigh to take photos. Botyh of us use large format film cameras, I use an 8x10 and Steve uses a 4x5. I think this proves that we are a pair of Luddites, but as long as we're enjoying it , we don't care. Perfect day for riding too. Lots of sun, only a little wind, temperatures around 29-30 Celcius, and great roads.

I love macro photography, but the lenses are soooooooooo damn expensive ::( I decided to cobble together a free steampunk alternative for the GS4 using a damaged headphone plug and the magnifiers I wear for doing sgraffito.

Slow day...... got some fresh cut wood stacked up - out of the way.

Started to watch the BBC TV series called "Wings" on the early years of the WWI Royal Flying Corp - 25 parts! I watched a few of them when they were broadcast a few years ago ... but missed quite a few. Anyone else remember the series?

I finally upgraded my oil/fuel drain reservoir to match the intake, maybe now I can get a decent night's rest.

Drove from Springfield to Tulsa, bolted $9500.00 worth of equipment to a ceiling, went out for a bowl of chili and a grilled cheese sammich and drove home in freezing temps, It was OK.

Had a great week last week. Holidayed at Waiheke Island with our daughter and her family over from Singapore for a break. Lovely catching up with them and the grand daughters; hadn't seen them for a couple of years. Caught up with Pete Kelly of Motokiwi, who resides on Waiheke Island and bought the gearbox gaskets all ready for the gearbox stripdown which is happening after our Christmas break.  Fantastic weather, and had a fabulous time.

Today, and the boss just told us to head off some three hours early, so I am off now till the 13th of Jan. ;-T Christmas dinner tomorrow, so had better go and get the doings to make my fresh fruit fruit salad. Heading off to Golden Bay on the 27th to mellow out, fish and drink  and  **C.

Body still holding up OK. Life is good. ;-T ;D

Got the last of a series of 3 supartz injections to the knee joint. Supposed to be able to river dance in 4 weeks. Right. This marks about a year this thing has been buggin me. Life not all bad. Had most of the month off. Took a week to go to Florida to our fave motel on the beach. Cold beer and a Cuban sammich at Jimmy Buffett's bar. Met a Fla. cousin for the first time. Thanksgiving dinner at Dirty Dick's crab house. Probably put on 10 pounds with all the good eats and the laying around on vacation.

So, how was YOUR day?

Carmel's only begotten son announced his engagement to a lady from Northern NSW and we journeyed down the Lion's Rd for a "meet the parents"-weekend at Kyogle. There are too many dogs and snakes but they put on a great spread and wore their best manners just for us ;D The Lion's Road is a far cry from the dirt track that ended in a log crossing at the Border in 1988, when my Vulcan and I returned from a round trip that took in Red Rock and Casino. This time it is paved and alive with traffic. A trip is in the offing but just when is the question. Very busy now and with renewed enthusiasm for the coming year after dealing with some of my marksmanship problems but I'll try and fit it in somehow ::) ;D

               MERRY CHRISTMAS ;-T

Automatic car was I use regularly destroyed both side mirrors and doors on my truck.  Owner ask me if I read the sign?  I told him yes and that his signed indicated that there is potential for damage to my vehicle.  He said damage was impossible, it worked perfect every time it was used before.  I was stuck in my truck and could get out or move my truck.  Told the owner to save the video for the insurance company.

I bought a toy display for a $20 donation to CMN. I'll replace the top and bottom with Masonite, install a coupla 36" grow lights and fill it with tropical plants. I can trade the toy for some crack at 6th ave north. Getting it home in one piece was a Festivus miracle.

Last couple days have been good. Dec. 21st went on a 250 mile ride. Temps hit low 80's so I was able to take the liner out of the mesh jacket. Yesterday was spent goofing off with mrs Wavedog and that's always a good time. Today we will lay low, take in a film, build a fire in the backyard this eve and chill. Merry Christmas.

Today was good!

The Moto Guzzi's are now resting comfortably in their new home! Lindsey's Breva 750 on the left, and my V11 LeMans on the right.

Yesterday I rode Lindsey's Breva 750 to our new duplex we are renting. It was 33-37 degrees outside. brrr

Today I rode the V11 LeMans, it was 45 or so. Much  better! I even saw one other rider.  ;-T

The patient's Methotrexate has been replaced by somethingorother plus anti-depressants and now her skin is lumps. All over. Face too and she is paranoid about it(her appearance) and won't go out. In addition, or maybe it is part of it, she feels guilty about being unable to cope with day to day living, like getting a job because money is tight. Seems to make excuses for not acting in what I think are her best interests and takes no notice of my advice :beat_horse. Very frustrating.
Just the same, I did not lose too much sleep last night. On the other hand, I was up til well past my bedtime locked in a battle of wits over the phone, trying to talk some sense in to her, so exhaustion was probably a factor in the sleep I got.
Carmel is in Melbourne at the tennis. Smart Carmel.

It's 47° and I'm still on vacation. Scarfing down a large bowl of chickpeas, about to gear up and look at some houses.
