First Guzzi I ever had, 1984 V65SP, had a bad main crankshaft thrust bearing.  Happened at about 500 miles.  Guzzi fixed it under warrarranty, rode it another 29,000 trouble free miles.  Here's hoping you have the same outcome!

Does the dealer receive the new bike in a crate and has to assemble a few things? And does the dealer charge for this or some sort of pre sale inspection?

This dealer is very good, been in business 71 yrs, doesnt charge setup, does charge the 600 for freight and just recently started charging 100 for doc fee. used to be no doc fee.

I know they do PDIs on all bikes and then sold, sends them thru service again and also check for any updates, I actually took it out on a test ride (Ive known this dealer for years and he did let me take out the new 2020 bike out on a test ride)

Hope to hear soon

Does anyone know if MG still offers roadside assistance? I know when I bought my stelvio in 2011, they had it but when I bought the V85, nothing was said.

Didnt see anything current online about, i think ducati offers it though...

Most good insurance companies have a road side assistance that comes with, or can be added to the policy.  Mine is like $5 or $10 a year additional.

I can check my papers but I thought it was part of the warranty.  It was on my Eldo, and I think V7iii.  Let me poke around, mine's a 2020 though

Can you share that link?  I could not find any discussion of it, or warranty for that matter.  Thanks

In PA State Farm does not offer roadside assistance or towing for motorcycles. Geico did but was about $635 more per motorcycle per year.

Towing was specifically excluded from my warranty book, finally found it.  I have AAA with RV, that covers towing up  to I think 100 miles or so.

For those of you who liked Father Guido Sarducci, have you ever read his book?
The actor character is Don Novello.  He compiled a book called the "Lazlo Toth Letters".  If you are unaware, one whacked out Laszlo Toth attacked Michelangelo's statue of the Pieta with a hammer in 1972!  Novello wrote letters around the world to famous persons and corporations under the penname of Laszlo Toth.  He would ask for autographed photographs or perhaps some sample of production goods.  The compiled letters are hysterical and very few ever caught on about the author's name.  Find it through your local library.  One memorable communication involved a complaint to a bubble bath company.  The box containing the powdered soap had a printed caution to "keep dry" and he couldn't figure out how to make the bubbles!  The company replied with serious instructions.

State Farm its not optional but since State Farm is several hundred times less expensive I'm okay not having $20 roadside assistance.

What good is it?

Any time I have ever had any involvement with roadside assistance, it was more of a hassle then it was worth.
It makes you FEEL like someone is there to help, but they seldom are.

It has worked for me and my friends. Maybe it is a southern thing. People are just more friendly and helpful down here.

Like the guy in the rollback armed with 20,000lb winch and binder chains that could hold down Case M series dozer. These guys are well known for their finesse. Throw a hook on the bike drag it up then binder chain it to the deck on the side stand until the frame is stressed and suspension if full compressed.

My CX died in Manhattan from a drained battery, called Progressive and someone was there within a half hour.   A loose connection on the Norge battery while riding around upstate NY resulted in a dead battery in Woodstock,NY. Within an hour I was on the road again.

I get towing insurance w my AMA membership, around $50/yr.

I had a water pump fail on a truck I was driving while on the interstate--stopped dead, no way to drive off. Called AMA and got a tow in around half an hour. I've been renewing membership ever since.

Partial update: The bike was put on the computer and nothing came up so its a problem that isnt "fault coded"

Could be many things but I suppose they use a logical order when a bike wont start and it doesnt come up on the computer....

It's called good old fashioned troubleshooting - is it Compression, Spark, for Fuel?

A quick spark check should send them in the right direction.

BTW, did you ever check to see if the fuel pump was running and/or if you could see swirling in the tank?!?

Just went out, popped off seat connections are all tight, fuses in place, bike cranks over and sounds like it wants to go, all gauges light up but like i said earlier, there is an ever so faint sound of what sounds like metal on metal....

Have you checked the oil level?

I did a fly-n-ride to North Carolina for my Norge.  I left the dealership heading back to Pittsburgh and got about 30min before I filled up with gas.  When I went to start I got nothing.  Called the dealer and he sent a truck to pick up the bike and me.  It turned out there were two holes in the sump, one was a plug and the other had the wiring that went to the cooling fan.  It seems they had reversed the two locations and the wires were now too long and the wires got caught in the fan blades.  A little bit of tape and a swap of the two and I was on my way.  Never had any more problems in the years following.  Things happen.
