I had a V11 Sport that ate cables. Replaced the stock one with a kit from Auto Barn and rerouted it. No problems thereafter. Measure twice and cut once with a dremel.

No, but word to the wise - I yanked a broken one out to replace it and in doing so disconnected one of the wires from the voltage regulator that plugs into that four-set connector - or so I remember. It took me a while to figure out why the bike wasn't charging. Tease it out carefully.
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

I have used kits like that in the past. Unfortunately the housing also wears out. I have read about 2 cables per housing and then replace. The last one I had to replace I could feel that the housing was bad. Bought a complete new one.

Give it a shot, it should work fine.

I replaced mine in my '03 California Titanium with a generic one cut to length.  I did that to get things working immediately, and ordered a complete replacement cable just in case the generic replacement breaks again.  There was hardly any lube on the original cable, so I made sure to rectify that.
