LMIV / 1400 2500km update

I have put 2548 kms/1580 miles on this so far and it is fairly well sorted. I am super happy with the torque and power which seems lots more than before despite the new 8/33 gearing. The  gas mileage isn't as good as I hoped but I can't say I ever checked it much just doing local trips. On 4 different tanks of fuel figured to U.S. gallons I got 34.6,38.9,39.13,and 39.2  This has been city and highway combined in mostly cooler than normal conditions so I expect to hit 45 on a steady highway trip. I used to get low to mid 50s as a LMIV. I can certainly live with that with a 6.5 U.S. capacity.
The breather catch can I made seems to be a great final solution to the breather system. It has a sight gauge and I drained it after 1000 kms and even with cold weather riding there was  only a few drops of water at the bottom. On my first oil change I will connect the return line to the sump so I will have the option of draining and discarding the oil or re-using it.
It basically runs as good as it ever did and it's easy to forget anything was changed which is all I could have expected. I'm setting it aside for a bit now and have bought 5 consecutive 5 day permits for my other bikes including the Guzzi and will cycle through them all to keep them active.

Thanks for the update. That is a great project you did on that one, and it still looks pretty much normal at first glance! You'll have to gift us with a sound or video clip someday
