« on: May 10, 2015, 01:38:40 PM »
lent a friend a set of lemans 1 footpegs, brackets with heel guards, linkages and shifters, the whole 9 yards.  he said he would replace them now he says name a price for them.  anyone have an idea where to start?,  anyone want to sell theirs.  this person has the money to pay the right price. i also would rather not get piece by piece if possible

Those are pretty rare, and would be hard to find if he wanted to sell his lemans.  With that said, I guess eBay?

I guess it would be wise for me to hang onto those parts.

But unless you are gonna use or sell those parts they are worthless.

I see the shift lever has been damaged anbd crudely repaired...

I used to hoard parts, then I decided I'd sell them, and if I need them later I'll buy them at the prevailing price on ebay. Made me some cash, and made space in my garage. Haven't regreted selling a single part.

I've got a pair of pegs, brackets and guards.  Nothing of the shift/brake parts extra.

wow, didn't realize those bits were so valuable.

They really aren't that impressive looking, and no matter how you put things together on an LM1, the brake pedal wants to foul the exhaust unless you adjust it up quite high.

Thx Dave , but I think you emailed me a while ago that the heel guards were off a cx100. Am I right or am I mixing up my emails?

No there not that impressive but as afar as valuable it's like the side stand on my 74 Ducati 750gt, useless, dangerous POS, but it you want one for your bike it's going to cost you over $200. I guess it's about having as much of the correct stock pieces

I'm pretty sure I have the heel guards off a CX or LM 1.

Are the heel guards flat or have raised ridges?

I'll bet the LM1, LMII, CX100 linkage/parts are all the same.  These look just like my `81 CX has.   ;)
