Title: 2003 ev rear wheel to jackal swap.
Post by: nortonduke on May 22, 2022, 03:13:45 PM
Hello all,
What is exactly is needed to swap the later wider EV tubeless rear wheel to a jackal, aside from the wheel and square tube swingarm?
Thanks.

I had to use a 130 rear tire to clear the swingarm, which is the stock 2001 offering.

Rear is a straight swap, front requires the EV axle, as I recall from 20 years ago.

All I needed up front was a different spacer

Thanks Kingoffleece,
You must have had the first generation tubeless rims.
I am in the middle of the rear convention and it is not a direct bolt up at all. Axes, caliper bracket and spline hub spacer are all different

The 2003 bike has a wider swingarm to accommodate the wider wheel, so you will not be able to take a 2003 wheel and direct replace it onto an earlier bike with the narrow '98-'02 swingarm.
