Check out last night's "Late Show" with Stephen Colbert as he interviewed Billy Joel to hear the words "Moto Guzzi" mentioned TWICE on national teevee...
Ahh Haa! Redemption! So many in the thread were so convinced that the bike broke down because Bruce was trolling along at low rpms with the touring lights on, and that pulled the battery down, and thus surly the BJs shop failed to let Bruce know. At least that was the general assertion, which became next to fact for many.I kept piping up that it might not be, and that perhaps there was another cause, do you recall that Kev M? Well, I was right, according to BJ, it was a faulty voltage regulator, that he actually brought to display to the world, simply to prove bad Chad was right again!
^^Umm....this thread was supposed to be fun. Thanks for the attempted buzzkill. Not.
I'm reading Bruce's autobiography "Born to Run." FABULOUS story. Honest, self effacing, hard working. Seems like a genuinely good man and tremendously charismatic.
Ponti- Bruce terrible in concert? I am flabbergasted by that. I wouldn't put Bruce at the very top my favorites but he writes great songs, has a strong band and every show I've seen (in person and video has been great). He may not be in my top 5 favs, prolly in my top 10. I will say no one seems to work harder on stage.
FunnyBig Bruce Music fan but he was terrible in concert - at least the one I attended in Tampa ~2010Not a huge fan of Joel's music but one of the best concerts we ever attended 2016.
Like them both, never seen Bruce, but Joels May Seattle concert was freaking awesome.
I will say no one seems to work harder on stage.
Anyone invited them to Cedar Vale? Could get a double act. GliderJohn
