It might be worth that in unmolested SP trim.

It sounds good! But it is a Guzzi so that's a given. They did a pretty good job making a Racer-type bike out of it. They might regret posting video proof of exceeding the speed limit on the internet though.

It's nice to point out that CT doesn't require a title - but not every other state agrees with that approach. You might eventually convince your local authorities to give you the paperwork but be prepared for an extended discussion...

I really like my V65, but have spent too much on it when Chad's experience is used as a baseline. Used V7 Classic models will likely become commonplace in the $4k to $5k range so V65 values won't be increasing any time soon.

This bike is essentially stock, and probably could be easily returned to SP form by replacing seat, mufflers and fairing with OE parts.  Neither here nor there as a cafe racer.

Like:  suspension upgrades (unspecified shocks, FAC dampers with air pressure interconnect); nice, simple paint job; fairing; bars

Dislike:  heavy, enveloping fenders front and rear; useless fluff (numberplates, checkered graphics); shorty mufflers (unnecessarily loud, will disturb carb tuning); seat (looks cobbled together from parts); should include conversion to tapered roller headstock bearings

Debatable:  Rearset pegs and levers (with low bars, the farther pegs are moved to the rear, the more weight is transferred to wrists and hands - be careful what you wish for); black paint on engine and drive train

Overall this looks like a nice, well-maintained bike that could be kept as is, a lightly-cafe'd roadster; further evolved to a more serious cafe configuration; or returned to SP trim.  I think the asking price is too high in the current market - as others have said, about $2500 seems to be the sweet spot.

Someone needs to tell Mr. Kaplan how to pronounce "Guzzi".  He keeps calling the bike "Moto Guzzy", as in "guzzle".  For a professional bike dealer this is rather illiterate.

I'll give it credit for looking quite rideable, and for apparently running good.

Points off for that awful seat (the bike looks like it's sagging in the middle) and for wasting time with a $3950 Buy It Now, about 40% higher than it's going to sell for someday ....

Mr. Kaplan not only doesnt know how to properly pronounce "Guzzi", but if you watch the video, half of the stuff he claims is pure fancy ,dancy salesmanship BS!
"Investment quality", yeah right!
The little smallblock, does sound pretty good, even with the goofy mufflers mounted on it. If he would have just ridden it,  for the video, and not go on and on with all the subjective BS, it would have been much better.
I think he could learn alot from "Moe" on how to make a video describing the bike! HaHaHa.

Moe does some great YouTube videos, he comes across not as a salesman but more like a friend who is offering to sell his bike to you.

Guzzis since 1988, and I still pronounce it wrong. I guess it just sounds better to me......
