Well...

It's good to have a "spare"

Just "in case".

a few more spares can't hurt..........

Heh. I wish. In a country larger than the US with a population smaller than the State of California... Guzzis are rare as three dollar bills. I've been on the hunt for a while.
Old enough to say I've done it, young enough to do it again.

Yep, after riding for 54 years, and working in the industry with lots of brands, I never owned a Moto Guzzi until last year. In the last 17 months, I have ridden 15,000 miles on my V7 III Special, and it could be my all time favorite of 39 bikes.  I always craved one, but never stepped up. Not a spec of trouble, and none expected. I love it.

Guzzis are like potato chips, can't have just one.

I currently have two small blocks, a '17 V7 III Special, and a '13 V7 Racer/Record, and two classic big blocks, '74 Eldorado, and '77 Le Mans.

Attackpug,

I did reverse of what you did Guzzi-wise.  16 months ago I bought my first Moto Guzzi, a 98 EV, and after 30,000 miles I like it more than I ever have.  A few weeks ago, I bought an 18 V7 Special.  Both are great and compliment each other well.  I use the V7 for commuting although I will be taking it on long trips once I do the 900 mile service, and I use the EV to commute and go to Tucson.   Both are more fun to ride than their specifications would lead me to believe.

I owned one for 4 years then had a crash due to mechanical failure (or the shite apprentice at lie local bike shop).

It wasn’t till it was gone that I realised how much I missed it...

Since then it has been something of a disease, weird having an rsv4 in the shed but enjoying carving on the lemans more. I gotta work on the lemans so it’s more rewarding 😬.

The rsv4 is gone & I have a clutch of round fins...

the V7/50 is my first Guzzi, the first one that seemed to fit me actually.  I had looked at V7's over the years & really liked the relaunched Eldorado (in black & Chrome, 'natch) but whenever I sat on one they always felt cut forsomeone 3-6" shorter than I am. 'Not so with the iii, in fact after lowering the pegs I'm not even sure I'll have to play with the seat or bars.  And then on the anniversary model you get polished fenders, polish tank & a leather seat.  It just looks like what a classic roadster is suppose to look like to me.  So, fits, looks good and then you have that engine that kind of reminds you why you started riding to begin with.  I tend to switch out my stable all too often but I just can't imagine letting this one go, 'keeper.
