Looks nice. Did you slot the mount bolt holes?

I don't think he did. This guy did the flywheel fork brace and triple clamps on my Lemans SE.

I suggest you support the front of the bike and remove the fork caps and check the forks through their full travel for any sign of binding. I've fitted quite a few of these old style braces years ago and they were always adjustable to prevent fork binding or high friction through the travel.

That's the main reason I didn't suggest we make a bunch and start selling them. Last thing I want is to be known as the guy who is responsible for someones suspension woes. The brace for my SE was made years ago by the same guy. the bike is being put together by Tom Hull. He knows suspension well.

That brace might be a great add on for bikes running side cars with normal forks. Would your guy be interested in building them for California models?

Yep. There is a guy on the Royal Enfield forum making up very very nicely CNC's fork braces, they look really nice, except. He's designed and made them using 4 countersunk cap screws to attach it. I think he may be selling them on ebay as well, not sure. Didn't understand what the issue was when pointed out. The difference between being a good machinist and a good engineer I guess. I even found the std fork brace on my RE 650 needed shimming under one of the mount points so it wasnt slightly twisted when tightened down. Not much, about .005" or so.

Zero tolerance for misalignment. If there is any slight variation in dimensions of the fork legs due to manufacturing tolerances the brace cant adapt to that if the mount points are fixed at one dimension via countersunk holes. They always need some extra hole clearance or some form of adjustability or slotted holes.

Got this one fitted to my LM2. All parts cast, clamps are machined and a very good fit to the stanchions; the top brace's 4 mounting bolts have 'wiggle' room, but solid once done up. I found this mod a required upgrade for the 35mm forks; it stopped the caliper pistons being pushed back on bumpy roads.
