Post by: moto_marco on September 22, 2021, 01:53:15 PM
Just saw this updated ad today... How close do you think he'll get to his asking price in this economy?

We've complained about Moe's prices for YEARS! But I've never heard anyone report what he actually sells a  bike for. List price is one thing, sale price is another.

A fantastic restoration for sure.  I wish he showed a pic from the other side showing the friction siren.

Well speaking of high priced bikes there is a high end custom Harley shop in Calgary, Canada listing a 2018 Harley Davidson Road Glide ..... $85,900.00  8100 Km

$85,900 for a Harley ???  :thewife: :thewife:

The bike is on Facebook at Swap Meet Motorcycle Parts Alberta

Elev8 Motorsports Calgary Alberta

The list of extras is over a page long, looks like everything on the bike has been upgraded or replaced

The Restored Cycle Garden bikes are beautiful when you see one in person. The labor costs for all the aluminum polishing must be astronomical.

Moe's bikes are beautiful. I know I have one. But I bought it from my next door neighbor who couldn't ride anymore. I'd love to have that blue Eldo in his shop and maybe the 750S also. Every nut and bolt is gone through on his restorations. He has Buchanan do the wheels/polish etc. Of course, if you bring your bike in to him he will do as little or as much as your pocketbook will allow. Mark at Moto Guzzi Classics does great work also. You can't go wrong with either of them.

as expensive as that is it would be real easy to spend 20 to 30 grand to restore all component on a bike ,that is take everything apart polish, rechrome ,paint ,mechanical re done ,find a siren a get restored (2 grand for sure) money adds up real quick not to take into consideration you need a bike to start with .Looked at an small tank ambo two weeks ago for 5 grand asking price  that was complete and very original but needed re done and i thought it was not a bad deal when he came down on price a little . One last thing it would take at least a year to get everything done , just pay up add gas and have fun instead.

Moe used to work for Mark early on.  Taught him everything.
