No
I have done a couple of bikes.
The rules here in BC changed recently you have to hire a broker.
We used to have to go to the US customs, they need to approve it for Export

Not difficult, like Roy says you need a broker. To get the bike into Canada from the USA the bike will need a valid US title.

Bikes and cages the same?
A broker? You mean someone in Canada who handles the legal work?

I have sent a couple of Guzzis to Canada, an '84 SP and an '04 EV Touring... As I understand the process, the vehicle must first be on the "Approved Vehicle List" to even consider entry.

When that has been established then the vehicle must be inspected and then a new VIN plate will be attached to it...
This is the information that I had a feedback from the buyers of the two that I exported.

Sounds as if Kiwi_Roy has good intel on the process...

Whatcha doin...?

If the vehicle is 15 years old or more probably no issue

Check the RIV  Registrer of Imported Vehicles. The government of Canada web site lists all known restrictions on importing a vehicle into Canada. If the vehicle was not manufactured in Canada, Mexico or the USA then duties apply. Dont cheat on the value of the vehicle, Canada Border Security and Customs does their homework and will assign a average current value for taxes. All imports pay a GST tax of 5%.
The broker has access to the import forms that the public can not access. I use Birder Buddy, pretty cheap and all online.

I imported a car a year ago, it was iffy due to having a hard time it was equipped with a i mobilizer alarm but got it sorted

Vintage bikes are easy to bring across

First you need to get the export paper work through US Customs. This is done by the broker.

I think it is possible to be your own Broker, the two I bought in were before that requirement. You used to have to leave the vehicle South of the border for the US guy to check on, I think they want the ability to impound it if it has a dodgy past. I arrived at the Blaine border from Colorado with a bike loaded down with camping gear, I had e-mailed the paperwork ahead but it hadn't arrived. The US inspector without actually saying it hinted that I should ride on to Canada and come back later at my convenience, thats what I did.  bought the bike down a couple of weeks later and left it at a motel in Blaine for a week while the paperwork got sorted out. Another time I arrived at the border without the proper title and he told me to whip back down to the courthouse in Bellingham to get what I needed. Edited to get rid of those pesky pop-up adds
