V100 Delivery date? When?
« on: January 13, 2022, 07:45:01 AM »
Few people have deposits/quasi orders have you been given any idea of a timeline?, any rumors of press release or actual arrival of the bikes? Toying with the idea of one but will want to ride one first.

Not sure if this applies to OZ but IIRC someone mentioned Sept '22...

One of the guys here on the forum, up in Maine, has one on hook and if I’m not mistaken he said April or May?

When I put a deposit in, I assumed April/May of 2022 (based on the timeline they followed for the V85). The dealer had no idea or info, but still took my deposit.

In early December 2021, one of the Italian moto mags listed the release date as OCTOBER 2022.  I do not believe that was an official announcement, they seemed to be working off 'inside information'

I have spoken to my dealer with the deposit several times... they have not yet been given a date or a firm MSRP from Moto Guzzi.

SO, I dont know anything except I have a deposit down on a Silver/Green bike.

Luckily I am very patient and I have bikes to ride until it shows up!

I'd be shocked if delivery is before 3 quarter of 2022.  Shocked.

Someone (not me) should shoot customer service a email and ask.  Sometimes they are pretty quick to respond.

That has deff passed my mind! I dont want to pull my deposit, but I only put it in because the V85 was unveiled at EICMA in november, then hit US dealerships in April....  Doesnt look like the V100 will follow the same pattern!

I'd guess spring of '23.  Just a guess.  A Guzzi WAG.

Aren't they renovating the factory and designing, developing & tooling a "production" model?   I don't know if the former is in the critical path but certainly the later is.

Hell, they wont even release the MSRP or show a picture of the bike with the alleged factory luggage... I think it is going to be a long wait.

Following the normal release tease  patterns I would expect it'll be five years from now , I hope not.

Seems as though they always have the right bike 5 years too late.

There is no new bike in my future from this point forward so I'm only going on speculation and past history has cloudy is that maybe

Suggest you ask what the minimum is to hold your place in line just in case the worst happens and  you have to kiss it up. It may be less than you gave them.

Even though the MSRP hasn’t been announced, did they commit to selling the bike to you at MSRP? Or are they at liberty to tack on dealer markups and other nonsense fees since the bike will likely be in high demand?

I spoke with dealership yesterday afternoon and they said originally they were told mid 2022. He also said they were waiting for an update that was due end of this week. he will be calling back as soon as he gets any news. No pricing yet . He said I am on a growing lists of interested parties, likely more than the typical shipments they receive which is six at a time.

With the economy as it is, I would expect that just due to inflation here in the USA, they'd be very hesitant to announce a MSRP that they would have to stick to.

Good point, inflation is an international issue due to world wide transportation, supply and labor shortages.  You have to wonder how those shortages affect the production ramp up even before the first bike comes off the line.   And then there could be resulting future currency fluctuations.

Showing a bike and making buyers wait a year or so is a pretty long tease! Heck I get excited when I order a new helmet and it takes a week to get here..........
And agree with others on inflationary and Covidary pressures throwing pretty big curveballs on pricing and delivery.

I hope it’s this summer too,  but like others have said,  these aren’t normal times.

Even in good times it’s not unusual for long waits, Yamaha took 2 years or so from showing the 700 Tennerie to market.

What I heard was september/october for europe, so they have not that much production capacity and they have to deliver the first orders to all Europe dealers. Then there is your EPA and other things needed to get them on the road.  A year from now?

Exactly what my dealer said. MG will do just fine with the V100,but they did tease it way too soon. Now bring on the dirt focused V85.

The one constant with Guzzi is they’re unpredictable.  They just might surprise us.  Even the dealers don’t know till the last minute, so it’s futile to even keep askin’.
