A horny question
« on: January 08, 2019, 08:44:54 PM »
Why are some horn brackets laminated, made of several pieces of thin stock sometimes separated by small spacers, and others of solid stock?

I think it lets the horn resonate at its natural frequency rather than DAMPING it down    Gotta love auto correct

* I have a set of German, dual HELLA horns on the Centauro...very loud...about 114dB

* However, on the big Victory, I have the ultimate, the 139dB Steibel Nautlius "AIR CANNON"    The first time I used it...the guy in the large, white Cadillac Escalade that cut me off literally threw his phone up in the air and almost went off the road!!    Very effective! :thumb:

Those are the same horns I am going to mount on my Triumph.  The red matches the bike.  Glad to hear they're loud.  The stock horn is quite feeble, at freeway speed I have to strain to hear it myself.

No one will notice your fart anyway because they will just think it is your engine and that large truck full of pigs just passed the other way.
