I think it's brilliant, surprised the sidecar isn't used for more battery storage and range, which is always how I pictured making an electric rig.  Nice to have Zero tech in there too, proven stuff that gets better every year

I would think that would be the very first mod.

I think folks expect too much from a proof of concept.  The design question was "what happens if we use a bunch of stuff from an existing zero to electrify a ural?"  They didn't explore what was possible using other stuff or developing stuff to use.  The design answer is that you can do 65 for 100 miles.  Now it is a matter of expanding those limits.  I think they're off to a good start.
